Alot of people emailed me about the last post which was a very technical BJJ match so I decided to follow up with this one geared more towards takedowns. This is a great video to watch and rewatch if you want to see takedowns done properly.
Some things to note:
1. The music choices make absolutely no sense.
2. Hip placement is key.
Whoever has their hips under their opponent’s in a takedown usually wins. How do you get good hip placement?
-Fight hard for underhooks. Underhooks allow you to move their hips and your own where you want them for the throw.
–Change levels. When going after a shot or within the clinch, change your level to get better positioning for the takedown.
