Marcus “Buchecha” Almeida vs. Roger Gracie: Berimbolo & Armbar Sequence

by Tom Reynolds on October 18, 2012

The Metamoris Pro Jiu Jitsu Invitational was an incredible event hosting matches from many of the top BJJ players in the world. The only way to win was by submission and these superfights had a time limit of 20 minutes.

There were some crazy transitions, escapes, and submissions. There was one sequence in particular that was particularly amazing between Roger Gracie and Marcus “Buchecha” Almeida. If you want to learn how to flow in BJJ, watch this over and over to get an idea on how the best in the world do it.

  • Buchecha sweeps Roger with a berimbolo sweep
  • Buchecha begins to take Roger’s back, but he rolls into an armbar instead
  • Roger barely escapes and ends up in the top of guard

Great stuff!
