BJJ for MMA: The Guard with Kayron Gracie

Being on the bottom is tough, especially in MMA where someone is trying to punch your head through the ground. The BJJ guard is one of the few positions off the back where you truly have a chance to have an upper-hand.

There are many keys to making the position work for you. If you can break your opponent’s posture down, your options open up big time.

In this video, BJJ Black Belt Kayron Gracie shows how to break someone down from the guard in MMA. Once broken down, he shows how to sweep or control so you don’t get hit.
