Anthony Pettis’ Flying Showtime Kick

by Tom Reynolds on December 17, 2010

High level fighters train day in and day out against the usual techniques.  Most pro fighters have high level defense to the most common strikes, takedowns, and submissions out there.

Sometimes out of the box takes your opponent off guard. Other times it can be a game changer. Case in point, Anthony Pettis and his flying roundhouse kick off of the cage.

Oftentimes the more experienced your opponent is, the more likely it is to land unorthodox techniques.  Thanks to Vince for bringing this to my attention!

Yea, no kidding. I guess he practices that technique and a few others regularly with Duke Roufus.
